Baja (Mexico)

The Baja Peninsula, the longest peninsula in the world, about 30 miles south of the Tropic of Cancer. Because it is located at the exact point where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, it enjoys marine flora and fauna indigenous to both bodies of water, making our dives a truly unique experience. Baja has an average rainfall of 6" per year. January to June average air temperature is around 80 degrees F° and average water temp is around 68 degrees F°. June to January average air temp is around 90 degrees F° and water temp 80 degrees F°. The water warms up nicely toward the end of summer and usually stays warm through December and into January.

The Cortez Club
Situated amongst the breathtaking beauty of the Sierra de La Giganta - a magnificent backdrop to our most valued natural resource, The Sea of Cortez. Called the "World's Aquarium" (by Captain Jacques Cousteau), it is a must for all diving enthusiasts. As a visitor to this underwater paradise, you can expect to see some of the most impressive marine animals in the world; Hammerhead sharks, Whale sharks, Blue, Gray and Orca Whales, Dolphins and Giant Pacific Manta Rays, to name but a few.

Club Cantamar
The corner stone of Club Cantamar, Baja Diving & Service started in 1983 with a small 22' panga and a used 40 hp outboard engine.
Based on good, affordable, friendly service, the fleet grew gradually to 24' skipjacks with outboards, then to a 31 ft twin diesels inboard, and so on.
Nowadays, our fleet based at our own premises at Cantamar, is the largest, fastest and most comfortable on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, and continue pleasing divers from all over the world.

Airlines are changing their schedules frequently. Always reconfirm directly with the airline at least 24 hours in advance to be sure of times and weather conditions. Always make sure to read the supplier booking and cancellation policies.
If you book a vacation either on-line or by calling in you need to be aware that various cancellation penalties are imposed by airlines, vacation companies and us. They get bigger the closer you get to the trip.
